Mission Statement of Better Business Bureau
To promote and foster the highest ethical relationship between businesses and the public through voluntary self-regulation, consumer and business education, and service excellence.

BBB Foundation
The BBB Foundation is organized as a 501(c)(3)non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes. It was formed to provide written materials, visual aids, and television and radio materials to inform the public about wise buying, investments, fraudulent practices, and unethical schemes. The Foundation's services are free of charge to schools, colleges, universities, clubs, and civic organizations and others.

General Presentation Topics:

  • Better Business Bureau: Who We Are & What We Do
      Designed to educate consumers on the mission, services offered, and work of the Better Business Bureau.
  • Identity Theft
      Designed to promote awareness and prevention tips for Identity Theft It also provides information on how to resolve Identity Theft.
  • Scams Against Seniors
      Designed to help seniors gain awareness and see signs of possibles scams that are often targeted towards them.
  • Young Consumer's Guide
      Designed to give young consumers awareness on issues such as identity theft, credit and budgeting, cell phones, and phishing and online shopping.
  • Other topics available on request.


Presentations are structured for, but not limited to:

  • Schools and Colleges
  • Senior Citizen's Groups
  • Church Groups
  • Adult Education Classes
  • Civic and Community Organizations


Information:
Speaker's Bureau Presentations are available in both Spanish and English and last anywhere from 20 minutes to one hour. Presentations may be followed by a question and answer session. There is no cost for presentations and services, though we do require one month's notification to prepare.
